I've compared the signature to the few examples I've found online and it appears to be authentic. It is one uninterrupted signing, with no lifting or hesitation from the signer, just as T.H. White was known for doing. The book itself is in great condition throughout. Front and rear covers are well preserved with little to no fading. There are a few soft corners, and they are free from stains or noticeable damage. The binding is tight, has no loose pages, and the spine is square with no leaning. Pages are slightly yellowed due to age, but are still crisp and clean, with no stains or marking. End papers are clean and bright, with no marks or damage. This is a great collector book, in excellent condition, and would make an awesome gift for someone, or just a great addition to someone's personal collection.
