Condition Summary Lot of 13 antique miniature Shakespeare volumes from the Temple Shakespeare series published by J. M. Dent in London around the turn of the 20th century. The leather bindings show heavy wear with most covers detached or partially detached from the text blocks. Despite the binding issues, the interior pages remain clean and intact with no writing or markings observed. Illustrated plates appear to be present. The pages show normal age toning but remain readable and well preserved. Description This listing is for a lot of 13 antique miniature Shakespeare volumes from the Temple Shakespeare series published in London by J. M. Dent around the late 19th to early 20th century. These pocket-sized editions were produced as collectible miniature Shakespeare books and feature decorative leather bindings with gilt crest designs typical of Temple Shakespeare publications. Most of the leather covers have come loose from the text blocks due to age and wear, which is common with miniature leather-bound books of this period. Book shipped & arrived sooner than expected, and was packaged really well. From the lighting of the picture, the book cover looked white, but upon opening the package, the color appeared faintly yellow with age, but this is NOT a problem for me as I think it gives the book a nice vintage look. Overall, I'm very pleased and happy with my purchase, the seller was great and shipped quickly. Highly recommend.
