You are looking at a Seiko World Time, reference A708-5000, serial 400054 — a late 1970s Japanese digital masterpiece that stops collectors in their tracks every single time. This is not a common watch. The World Time designation is not marketing; it is a fully functional world time complication that lets you read the local time in cities spanning the entire globe directly from the dial — no calculation, no conversion chart needed. The dial is simply spectacular. Against a jet black background, the entire world is mapped in white and gold text around the LCD display window: Honolulu, Anchorage, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, New York, Caracas, Rio de Janeiro, London/Paris/GMT, Cairo, Moscow, Tehran, Dubai, Karachi, New Delhi, Rangoon, Bangkok, Peking, Singapore, Hong Kong, Guam, Tokyo, and Sydney.
