Description
AS IS- see pictures. This postcard was postmarked in 1957. It has heavy signs of wear including (but not limited to) creasing and rounding at the edges and corners, heavy creasing throughout, marks/stains, and color-wear on the front. A classic and whimsical "Golden Age" Halloween scene featuring a witch in a vibrant red dress riding a broomstick with a giant, smiling jack-o'-lantern head. She is accompanied by a black cat as they fly over corn haystacks under a crescent moon. It is embossed, divided-back era lithograph. NOTE: This card was published by the International Art Publishing Co. (IAP), New York, and was likely printed between 1907-1915, and mailed later in 1957. It features a mid-century postmark and stamp, adding a layer of interesting provenance to the antique illustration. Item #: 430
