Artinite, Staten Island, NY. Here is an 10.2cm by 5cm plate of acicular Artinite crystals on Serpentine from the Spring Street at Medford Road Occurance. Most of the collecting here occurred during the late 1960s and early 1970s with no access since. The serpentine is the oldest rock on the surface of Staten Island. Very unusual to find today!
