Normal SLx: lower quality Chinese glass Special Purchase: higher quality Philippines glass and construction! Special Purchase scopes have low levels of illumination, and are sold and described by Primary Arms as such. Notice the term "Partial Illumination" utilized in the description. The Special Purchase Aurora tends to have varying levels of dim illumination that essentially only works in lower light conditions as a tradeoff for having high quality glass from the Philippines and not glass from China. I assume that if you purchase this scope, you are aware of this fact. That being said, this particular scope seems to have a reticle that's a bit brighter than other SPs I have seen. Product has not been used, but opened and removed from packaging to examine and verify functionality. Comes with its original box and included accessories.
