Card condition varies largely based on era, but all of them that I handled were clean, no damage and everything feels very crisp, and even some of the older cards are near mint (that full art Holo Entei is especially nice!) Fun card combos organized with different methodology. Great starter set. Lots of potential resell value for anyone who wants to separate out. Many cards have multiple copies. As many as six!
