1960 British topcoat JAEGER reknowned maker of men's wear Dark Blue Gentleman's overcoat Size 44 note British size 44 made to accomodate sweater or jacket (thus chest 48 inch + to accomodated sweater or tweed jacket and drape properly.) Jaeger heavywieght tweed chevron in ex. vintage condition. No rips no moth work and little wear evident partial lining good condition. the blue is so dark it is difficult to photograph. sleeves are beautifully cuffed, note gathering of material at shoulder (which is unpadded), typical of higher end tailoring of the period. no wear to the bottom hem, back shoulder one side has ancient repair to 1/2 cm of wear. Overcoat is VINTAGE, c.1959 - 60. Length back collar to hem= 47 inches approx shoulder to shoulder between 20 - 21 inches Chest 44 - 48 across front Shoulder to end sleeve 26 + inches Under arm to end sleeve 18 + inches
