The Amazing !!! Night 2 !! ( of 4 ) ... ' The ! ' 5/24/72 Grateful Dead Show at the Lyceum Theatre ! in London, England !! on the Europe '72 Tour !!! ... May 24th, 1972 ( 5/24/1972 ) !!!!! Grateful Dead Fans who Love & even Live-for ! that Good Ol' Grateful Dead sound ... and at its Finest ! Offered here is the Amazing !!! 5/23/72 Lyceum ( ' 2nd ' ) Show ( Lyceum Theatre - London, England ) - the 20th Show ! - from the Magical !! Grateful Dead Europe '72 Tour !!! If you have never heard this Lyceum performance before ? My goodness are you in for a serious treat - and a Grateful-One !!! As you might well expect - considering the Time & Era of Grateful Dead Music we are talking about here ... the Band is Red-Hot right out of the gate for this Monumental Tour ... but as this Amazing ! 3-CD Set well-proves, maybe even more-so at the tail end ! Seven ( 7 ) Shows were played at the Academy of Music in New York City in Late-March ( 3/21-28/72 ), and if you have heard pieces, parts or all of that magnificent run - then you already know how " effective " that NYC run was as the ideal " Tour Warm-Up " for this Big-Time Europe '72 stretch that was right around the corner. Europe '72 kicked-off at Wembley Empire Pool ( London ) on 4/7/72, as part of a two-night stand. And from there it was 20 More Shows ( 22 in Total ) stretching from London, to Newcastle upon Tyne ( England ), to Copenhagen, to Aarhus ( Denmark ), back to Copenhagen, to Bremen ( Germany ), to Dusseldorf ( W. Germany ), to Frankfurt ( 100 Year Hall ! ), to Hamburg, to Paris, to the Bickershaw Festival ( Wigan, England ), to Amsterdam, to Rotterdam, to France, to Luxembourg, to Munich ... and then back again to London for a final 4-night stand at the Lyceum ! Including this here Amazing !!! performance from May 24rd ! Personally ... I just Love ! the personality-infused Big Ben !!! cartoon on the front of this one ... and it's quite-fitting, indeed ' symbolically ' - as this was a Big !!! Grateful Dead Show ! Show # 2 of a 4-Show stand, during 4-straight days ! - with, no-night-off ! The Good Ol' Grateful Dead just kept Rockin' ! the Legendary Lyceum, with minimal ! sleep over this 4-Day stretch ... and, not during a single-note can one tell ! And, this was at the Tail-End ! of the 22-Show Europe '72 Tour, so ... to some degree - this just had-to be a bit of a Grind ?!? But ... just as you might-well expect ? This is indeed the Grateful Dead in only their 7th ! Year together - their ' arguable ' Prime ! ... and, they just get after-it ! Musically. There is some-sort of sheer Live-Magic ! coated all over the 3-CD's in this Set !!! The Deal is Hot ! Cold Rain opens ... the Dire Wolf ! comes out to play ... China > Rider ! - followed up by Playin' !!! A Huge Jack Straw !! A Massive ... Casey Jones !!! And then, following an air-tight & sparked ! Black Peter ... it is On !!! >>> Truckin' > Drums > Other One !!! > Sing Me Back Home - Sugar Magnolia > Lovelight ! > The Stranger > One More Saturday Night ! Wow ... I don't know myself - I mean sure, this isn't the ' longest ' Show of the Tour - nor, does it have a jump-off-the-sheet type Set List ? But, at least to my ears ? This here 5/24/72 Lyceum Show is quite-possibly one of the Best ! of this entire Tour ??!! This one is definitely a bit ( well, very ! ) overshadowed by the ' Tour-Closer ' at the Lyceum - just 2-nights later, but Musically ? Oh my goodness ... does this one simply stand on it's own ! Proud & Tall ! ... just kinda like Big Ben does !! Ha! A Simply-Beautiful ! Lyceum Show, from this Monumental ! - & Legendary !!! Tour ... Without a doubt my favorite Dead Head memorabilia vendor around!!! I Can’t express enough how much this seller puts out the good vibes and really pays attention to detail. Lightning fast shipping all the way to hawaii and was packaged wonderfully! I will be coming back again and telling my friends. He shared some history that I didn’t already know about the shirts I bought which I really appreciated. Very fair pricing and was exactly as described. Listed as brand new. They are indeed brand new!
This seller was the sweetest person I’ve communicated with on this app. Responded quickly, and shipped even faster. The card came wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap, tape, and cardboard. Completely protected from the elements and well preserved. Would definitely recommend!
Highly recommended seller! Always has the rarest of the rare Dead relics. Pass came exactly as described and at a good value. Packaging and shipping was top notch. Will def be shopping again. A+++
