Description
This listing is for an original real photo postcard (RPPC) showing the Fraser River Bridge in New Westminster, British Columbia. Produced by Stride Photo, this early view captures the swing bridge structure, river, and landscaped park area in crisp photographic detail. The postcard is postmarked and still features the original 2¢ green King George V Canadian stamp with a clear PARCEL POST cancellation. The combination of period RPPC, identifiable bridge, and postal marking makes this an attractive piece for collectors of Canadian history, transportation, and early photography. Details: • Original RPPC (not a reprint) • Subject: Fraser River Bridge, New Westminster, BC • Photographer/Publisher: Stride Photo • Stamp: Canada 2¢ King George V (Admiral series), parcel post cancel • Era: Approx. 1910–1930 • Condition: Light corner wear; image is clear with strong contrast; no major creases • Mailed and written-on back A solid historical postcard for any collection involving New Westminster, Fraser River history, rail and bridge engineering, or Canadian RPPC photography.
Nice ceramic sign but I did not receive the sign that was shown in the listing. The wear marks on the sign I received were significantly different than the sign that appeared in the listing. There was also some damage in transit. If you are not going to use a box, I would suggest placing the sign in between two pieces of thick cardboard and not wrapped in paper. Also not totally convinced the sign I received is not a reproduction based on certain orange-ish colored rust marks.
Exactly as described shipped quickly, a great value thanks.
