The alloy body is 6061T aluminum with zinc coated hardware for corrosion resistance. The kit is designed to improve cam chain performance and reduce noise. There is a high temperature tolerant O-ring seal under the lock nut to stop any oil from oozing out around the threads. The external adjuster bolt set up uses an acorn nut and jam nut for a clean look and to allow the bolt to be shortened or the oil seal O-ring to be replaced.
