PUBL: Bien This is a nice selection of CHRISTMAS postcards that have the classic Christmas motifs seen on ANTIQUE postcards from the early 1900s. The postcards are well drawn and have a colorful and attractive look. These postcards have a nice seasonal feel. They are good postcards to add to a collection because of their interesting themes and how they give you a glimpse of life back in the early 1900s. They would appeal to collectors because they have good detail and are pleasing to look at. Overall, a nice selection of antique Christmas postcards at a reasonable price. These postcards show such things as: SNOW SCENES, RURAL SCENES, HOUSES, FLOWERS, HOLLY & BERRIES, and other Christmas motifs. These postcards are EMBOSSED and GOLD trim in the design. A few have STRONG GOLD trim. They come from the publisher Julius Bien. The publisher of these postcards is Julius Bien (1850-1915, New York), who published holiday and greetings postcards out of Germany during the “Golden Age of Postcards” (1908-1915 era). He was one of the pioneers of the postcard industry and is looked upon as a most sought after publisher by collectors. His postcards have good value for collectors. The postcards are UNPOSTED (4) and POSTED (1) with cancel dates in the 1910 era. The postcards were published during the "Golden Age of Postcards" (1908-1915). These were "Printed in Germany". They have DIVIDED backs. These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains, paper toning and edge wear due to their age (these are over 100 years old!). The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope. We only ship within the USA; we do not ship internationally. USA shipping is with tracking, and we use eBay Standard Envelope mail when the value is under $20 and the weight is under 3 oz; and, we use USPS First Class mail when the value is over $20 or the weight is over 3 oz.
