Description
Antique Glass Horn Candy Container EAPG Victory Glass Company. The Victory Glass Company was founded in Jeannette Pennsylvania in 1919. The company was known for their glass toys containing candies and nuts. The company fell victim to the Great Depression and reorganized in 1937. The company came back strong, continuing the production of their candy containers and widening their offerings with household goods. One of their container designers is this glass horn. The shape emulates a Viking drinking horn that would originally be carved from animal bone and worn around a Viking's neck by a strand of sinew. C'mon, kiddies, let's play the drunken Vikings drinking game! This piece features hob stars among symmetrically intricate rows of raised glass. I believe there are pieces of label inside the horn. However, I am unable to open it. The item shows no signs of chips or cracks and is a beautiful piece of antique glass (EAPG). 9"L x 3"W
