Description
This is an authentic antique German cloisonné desk accessory by the respected Berlin maker A. Stübbe, dating to the late 19th–early 20th century (circa 1885–1910). The piece features a heart-shaped form with rich green, red, yellow, and white cloisonné enamel florals, finely detailed with true wire cloisonné construction over a gilt brass base. These miniature trays were designed for use as pin trays, ring trays, or desk trinket holders, and were often given as decorative gifts during the Victorian / Wilhelmine/ Art Nouveau period. The underside is clearly stamped “A. STÜBBE BERLIN”, confirming authenticity and origin. European (German) cloisonné desk objects are far scarcer than Asian export cloisonné, especially in named-maker examples and heart-shaped forms. Details: Maker: A.
