Description
This is a gorgeous 1950s made-in-Japan double-strand necklace, packed with all the little mid-century details I’m obsessed with. It mixes creamy faux pearls with hand-painted splatter beads and those amazing textured “sugar” beads that Japan was known for in the postwar era. The colors are a soft champagne and ivory with warm caramel marbling. It closes with its original gold-tone hook clasp stamped JAPAN, which dates it firmly to the 1950s–early 1960s, when Japanese costume beadwork was at its peak. In good condition with no major flaws to note.
