The Bronx County Trust Company was a New York-based financial institution active during the early 20th century, including the 1930s. Established as the Twenty-Third Ward Bank, it later became the Bronx County Trust Company and operated branches in the Bronx, such as its Washington Bridge office opened in 1927 . In 1929, it merged with the Fordham National Bank, reflecting the consolidation trend among banks during that era. In 1955, it was acquired by the Bank of Manhattan for $200 per share, with stockholders receiving payouts after liquidation
