Henry Justice Ford , a noted English illustrator who is best known for his beautiful illustrations for Lang's works. The frontispiece tissue guard is intact. There is light shelfwear. There is no foxing. There is a small neat previous owner's name to the half-title page. There is a slight give to the front hinge. There are few spots where the binding is visible in the gutter but has no impact on the integrity of the volume. Further condition details: - Page 49 - there a couple of marks including to the in-text illustration. - Page 58/59 and page 204/205 - there two narrow lines of rust marks occupying about half of the vertical blank margin. - Page 145 - right blank margin has a small light smudge mark. - Page 204/205 - there are a few light marks to the top centre at the gutter in the blank margin. - Page 216 - there is a small mark the top of the page. - Page 256/257, 258/259, 260/261, 268/269 - there are a few very small round dot like marks in the gutter blank margin. -Page 304 - a short closed tear to the bottom of the right blank margin.
