Description
This is an original 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition souvenir postal card , featuring the Fine Art Building , beautifully illustrated in full color with a classical statue vignette. Issued with a 1¢ Ulysses S. Grant indicia , this postal card is part of a 12-design official series produced by Charles W. Goldsmith and lithographed by the American Lithographic Co. in New York. These cards commemorate one of the most important international exhibitions of the 19th century.
Easy transaction, good communication, and item was shipped promptly. Postcard arrived well-packaged and in great condition exactly as described and shown in the listing. Good value for this promotional postcard from a Mittenwald luthier who employed more advertising messaging than most of the Geigenbauer in that lovely town.
Extremely pleased with the entire transaction from soup to nuts, where the shipping was lighting quick and the packaging was flawless, along with the fact that the item itself was exactly as described/depicted. 5 Star Seller all the way around.
This was a great addition to a postcard collector like me. He had a clear address, a great message, a postmark and a cancelled 1 cent postage stamp. The card was sent to me quickly and with secure packaging. Thanks for good service.
