The item was basically what I expected: a basic, used iaito beginners. Upon closer inspection, the tsuba did have some paint chips/dings, and appeared cheaply made. The fuchigane, seppa, and habaki are also misaligned along the axis of the tsuba. Some small dings along the blade itself too, but that’s to be expected. These flaws aren’t so much the problem as the seller’s lack of communication- he needs to work on that- but he was willing to negotiate the price so that’s a mark in his favor.
